Ministry Description 事工簡介
Vision
To develop and enable leaders and gather relevant resources in order to lead Christ-centred, biblical corporate worship with every member participation.
Ministry Group Members
All ESC Worship Ministry Group Members along with the designated deacon and staff work together to oversee the worship ministry of the ESC by encouraging those in service, collecting feedback, identifying growth areas and planning for growth/ development.
Areas of Ministry
Physical/Logistics Coordinator (1)
Looks after the physical component of ESC worship which includes overseeing, informing & communicating with Ushers, Audio/Set-up Personnel, Lord's Supper Attendants, Offering Attendants, Offering Counters, taking resp. for transport of collection, reception needs during fellowship hour and special events, arranging baby-sitting, etc.
Worship Team Coordinator (2)
Looks after all things pertaining to the ministry of the Worship Teams which includes overseeing, coordinating, informing and communicating with and caring for Worship Team Leaders, administering the Worship Team covenant, and recruiting Worship Teams for special occasions.
Prayer Coordinator (1)
Looks after the organization of ESC prayer meeting(s), prayer partnerships, prayer network, email and prayer chains, concerts of prayer, other prayer strategies, communicating prayer needs to ESC leaders and congregation, etc.
Special Services Coordinator (1)
Looks after the planning and execution of occasional, seasonal, and evangelistic services in the ESC including communicating and delegating work to Worship Team, Special Musicians, Testimonies, etc.
2022 Ministry Report 事工報告 (Family Ministry 家庭事工)
1. The goals of the ministry group for the Year 2022
After two years of mostly meeting online/hybrid methods, Youth Ministry and Children Ministry were looking forward to meeting in person again. With the formation of Family Ministry, our goal is to serve and equip families to raise up the next generation in the Word of God.
2. The highlights of the activities for achieving the goals
Restarted VBS after 2 years of hiatus.
30 students were served during each session of VBS
Leadership training provided for 15 youths through the VBS CIT program
Family Summer Camp
17 families (total of 45 participants) from all three congregations attended the Summer Camp at Warsaw Caves Conservation Area over the August long weekend.
Another successful softball season fielding 3 teams (A high school youth team, an university team, and an adult with members from all three congregations)
A NYCBC Family Softball Day with participants from all three congregations.
Resumed in-person Children Sunday School, averaging 59 students on Sunday mornings. The most we’ve had was 74 on one Sunday.
Over 20 volunteers each Sunday
Gideon/Gilead/Benjamin Friday fellowship also resumed in-person programs, averaging 50 to 60 students in total every Friday.
With over 10 volunteers each Friday
3. The results and some forward looking sharing
We look forward to continual growth from each area of family ministry. This includes serving the new families from the Hong Kong immigration, the restarting of the 9:30a Sunday Children Worship, hosting our first Youth Winter Retreat since the pandemic, and exploring new ways to engage families at NYCBC.
